Five Nations. One Global Platform: How UPITS 4.0 Is Bringing the World Closer to Uttar Pradesh

“Investors from all over the world are coming to UP today because they know that a grand return on their investment in UP is certain.”

Shri Narendra Modi
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India

Trade is constantly shaping up by stronger connections which surpasses the borders. With Technological intensification across every industrial segment, and the expansion of supply chains spanning continents; new business avenues are launching and uniting with capital. In this dynamic landscape, the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show has evolved into something bigger than just an exhibition. With its fourth edition, UPITS 4.0 is creating a meeting point where different strengths of the global economy can connect with the industrial depth, enterprise, sourcing potential and market of Uttar Pradesh. The idea behind the 2026 edition is reflected in its international outlook. Each nation has their economic strengths, and has something in store to share and scale.

Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Russia and Austria are all unique as nations, confirming their participation at UPITS 4.0 present a vibrant picture of collaboration, partnerships, emerging with the promise of global business opportunities. All gathering at one platform UPITS 2026 to rewrite growth story of both Uttar Pradesh and India.

Japan, the land of Rising Sun has always been the nation of precision. Bringing its potential in advance technologies, manufacturing, engineering, production engineering and others expertise at the convergence creates a melting point of industrial collaboration. With an inception of India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement which took effect in year 2011; India and Japan already fostered their institutional trade foundation. Collaborating with Japanese businesses brings lucrative opportunities for UP; more than trade in finished goods and services. Unveiling the stage to outperform in the technological partnerships, manufacturing, supply-chain integration while enhancing the industrial growth through new approaches.

Singapore, the conducive commerce hub and a nation of innovation, trade excellence, finance, logistics, and many more. The gateway to Southeast Asia’s pride depicting the growth and economical success with cultural affinity. The India-Singapore CECA was created to build and strengthen economic cooperation between these two nations. The agreement covers goods, services, and investment; while also creating a bridge between India and ASEAN region. This partnership at UPITS is a milestone as this will help the state (UP) to have best investment avenues, sourcing opportunities. Moreover, connecting the enterprises to wider regional networks, international businesses, and logistics ecosystems.

Vietnam, here adds the manufacturing and supply-chain perspective, as industries are regularly seeking to diversify production networks. Resilient sourcing collaborations and business expansion are important factor making Southeast Asia an increasingly popular destination for the global manufacturing story. India’s engagement with Vietnam also sits within the broader ASEAN economic framework, with the ASEAN-India agreements covering trade in goods, services and investment. At UPITS, this creates space for conversations around manufacturing, components, sourcing, industrial cooperation and the possibilities of integrating Indian and Southeast Asian production capabilities.

Russia contributes a different kind of depth. The India-Russia economic relationship has long extended beyond conventional trade into energy, industry, technology and strategic cooperation. Its relevance to UPITS lies in the potential for long-term business relationships in sectors where industrial capability, technology and scale matter. Such engagement also reinforces an important point about Uttar Pradesh’s ambitions; the state is looking beyond immediate commercial transactions towards durable partnerships that can support investment, production and market development.

Austria brings yet another perspective, centred on European technology, engineering, specialised manufacturing, innovation and industrial expertise. For Uttar Pradesh, stronger engagement with Austrian businesses can create opportunities to connect European capabilities with one of India’s largest and most diverse economic ecosystems. The larger proposition is straightforward; global expertise can find a strong base in Uttar Pradesh, while businesses from the state can gain access to new technologies, partnerships and markets.

That diversity is one of UPITS’ greatest strengths. A buyer arriving at the show is not looking at a single industry. They can discover manufacturers, exporters, artisans, startups and established enterprises across an unusually broad range of products and services. The 2026 edition is deliberately structured around three buyer segments; international buyers, domestic B2B buyers and domestic B2C visitors, making the experience relevant not only to global trade professionals but also to India’s wider business and consumer ecosystem.

This is where the five-country story comes back to Uttar Pradesh. Japan’s manufacturing expertise, Singapore’s connectivity, Vietnam’s supply-chain opportunities, Russia’s strategic industrial depth and Austria’s specialised European capabilities represent different models of economic strength. UPITS creates the space for those strengths to meet the state’s own capabilities and ambitions.

The objective, therefore, is not simply to bring international delegations to an exhibition floor. It is to create meaningful commercial conversations. A manufacturer can meet a technology partner. An exporter can find a new market. An investor can identify an industrial opportunity. A buyer can discover a new supplier. An MSME can move from local visibility to international business.

The UPITS vision itself places the fourth edition firmly in this direction, describing it as a platform designed to strengthen Uttar Pradesh as a global sourcing hub and to connect international, domestic B2B and domestic B2C audiences within one ecosystem.

That is perhaps the most important evolution of UPITS 4.0. It is moving beyond the traditional model of an exhibition where products are displayed and visitors walk through stalls. It is becoming a business platform where relationships are initiated, markets are explored and partnerships can take shape.

From 25 to 29 September 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, the world will have another opportunity to discover what Uttar Pradesh can offer.

The story of UPITS 4.0 is therefore not simply about five nations coming to one show. It is about what becomes possible when different economic strengths converge in one place. And at the epicentre of that conjunction is Uttar Pradesh, the state which is poised to be the finest in its ability to connect local enterprise with global opportunity.
