The UP International Trade Show 2024 (UPITS 2024) Roadshow took place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, as a vibrant precursor to the highly anticipated event. Organized by the Uttar Pradesh Government in collaboration with India Expo Centre & Mart, this engaging roadshow aimed to attract a larger audience to the trade show scheduled for September 25-29, 2024.
The event featured Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for MSME, Sh. Rakesh Sachan, as the chief guest, along with esteemed dignitaries like Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of MSME & Export Promotion. The roadshow highlighted the strategic preparations and visionary outlook for UPITS 2024. In his address, Sh. Sachan emphasized Uttar Pradesh’s phenomenal growth in recent years, noting the state’s significant number of MSME units and its strong potential for trade, facilitated by extensive infrastructure.
Amit Mohan Prasad encouraged attendees to connect Uttar Pradesh manufacturers with markets globally, expressing confidence in this edition’s success compared to the first. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML, expressed gratitude to the UP Government for their support and promised to include more sectors in UPITS 2024.
Reflecting on the success of UPITS 2023, which attracted over 500 foreign buyers and more than 300,000 visitors, the roadshow underscored Uttar Pradesh’s emergence as a formidable economic force. With expectations of generating around 4000 Crores in business, the event showcased immense opportunities for collaboration and highlighted the best of Uttar Pradesh’s craftsmanship and innovation.

The Uttar Pradesh Government, in collaboration with India Expo Centre & Mart, held a promotional roadshow on July 15, 2024, at Hotel Royal Plaza, New Delhi, to promote the second edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS 2024). This roadshow served as a precursor to the event scheduled for September 25-29, 2024, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. It highlighted the state’s largest-ever sourcing event aimed at boosting trade and business opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.
A press meeting was addressed by Hon’ble Shri Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary Department of M.S.M.E. & Export Promotion; Shri Pawan Aggarwal, Joint Commissioner Exports, Uttar Pradesh Export Promotion Council, Govt. of U.P; Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Commissioner & Director, Directorate for Promotion of Industries and Enterprises, Government of UP and Sh. Rajkamal Yadav Additional Commissioner, Directorate for Promotion of Industries and Enterprises, Government of UP ahead of the Road Show to introduce the second edition of UP International Trade Show that is scheduled to be held from 25 – 29 September 2024 in the premises of India Expo Centre & Mart.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML, expressed gratitude for the state’s support in organizing the mega event and promised an even grander second edition with expanded categories and sectors.
The Road Show attracted a diverse audience, including senior officers from the MSME and Export Promotion Department of Uttar Pradesh, representatives from various focus sectors, trade associations, chambers of commerce, embassies, and heads of foreign missions. The overwhelmingly positive response from business representatives and organizational leaders underscored the high level of anticipation and interest for the upcoming UPITS 2024.

The UP Government, in collaboration with India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), organized a roadshow on July 12, 2024, in Mumbai to promote the second edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS 2024). The roadshow followed the success of the inaugural UPITS 2023, which had been inaugurated by Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu and attended by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. UPITS 2023 had established Uttar Pradesh as a significant economic player, attracting over 500 foreign buyers, 70,000 domestic buyers, and more than 300,000 visitors. The event showcased Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, with the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme playing a key role in boosting exports and job creation, moving the state closer to achieving the trillion-dollar economy target set by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The UPITS 2024 roadshow in Mumbai was attended by senior officials from the MSME and Export Promotion Departments of the UP Government, along with representatives from focus sectors, trade associations, chambers of commerce, embassies, and foreign missions. Entrepreneurs, exporters, media personnel, and senior members of IEML also participated. Shri Rajesh Kumar, IAS, Commissioner & Director, Directorate for Promotion of Industries and Enterprises, expressed confidence in UPITS 2024 surpassing expectations.
Shri Alok Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s contribution to the national GDP as India’s most populous state. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML, shared insights on the trade show’s potential, emphasizing Uttar Pradesh’s promising future in trade and industry. The roadshow concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Pawan Agarwal, Joint Commissioner (Export), Export Promotion Bureau, Government of UP.
The roadshow received an overwhelmingly positive response, further building anticipation for UPITS 2024, scheduled from September 25-29, 2024.
