New Delhi, July 4, 2025 – As part of its mission to propel Uttar Pradesh onto the global trade map, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with India Exposition Mart Ltd. (IEML), successfully held a high-powered Roadshow for the 3rd edition of UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Hotel The Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
The roadshow marked a crucial milestone in the lead-up to the third edition of UPITS 2025, scheduled from September 25 to 29, 2025, at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Focused on the theme ‘Local to Global’, the upcoming event is aimed at boosting exports across key sectors of the state, such as MSMEs, Electronics, IT, Handloom & Textiles, ODOP, Khadi & Village Industries, Sericulture, Food Processing, Automobiles, EVs, Renewable Energy, and Traditional Crafts.
The Delhi Roadshow was presided over by Shri Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, alongside Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO, Federation of Indian Export Organisations, Shri K. Vijyendra Pandian, Commissioner & Director, Industries, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Limited and other senior officials. The gathering saw participation from representatives of trade associations, buying and sourcing consultants, sectoral leaders, and stakeholders from across North India.
Shri Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in his message, stated, “UPITS is a catalyst in transforming our local industries into global growth engines. It is a celebration of our state’s entrepreneurial excellence and a strategic move to connect our artisans, craftsmen, and MSMEs to international trade networks.”
Speaking at the event, Shri Alok Kumar said, “UP International Trade Show is not just a showcase of our industrial and cultural strengths, it’s an export gateway for our MSMEs, artisans, and entrepreneurs. With each edition, UPITS is building bridges from local businesses to global markets, strengthening our resolve to contribute to the vision of a trillion-dollar economy.”
Shri K. Vijyendra Pandian highlighted the government’s efforts in curating a larger, more impactful trade show and said, “The scale and structure of UPITS 2025 have been thoughtfully crafted to accommodate new sectors and give emerging enterprises a global stage. We’re expecting even more footfall, business enquiries, and international collaborations than before.”
The Roadshow offered a glimpse into the enriched features of UPITS 2025—expanded exhibitor categories, focused B2B meetings, buyer delegations, ODOP showcases, and export promotion zones. The initiative also serves as a platform to attract industry participation and ensure strong regional and international buyer turnout.
This Roadshow is part of a nationwide series organised to generate awareness and engagement for UPITS 2025. The Delhi edition, in particular, aimed at strengthening ties with sourcing consultants, institutional buyers, exporters, and industry bodies in the capital and surrounding regions.
Following the huge success of the previous editions, which drew lakhs of visitors and buyers, and thousands of crores in business enquiries, UPITS 2025 is expected to be even more ambitious in scope, delivering on its promise of trade, tradition, and transformation.

The Hyderabad edition, the second after Delhi, witnessed an impressive gathering of over 150 industry leaders, exporters, sourcing consultants, and trade bodies. It aimed to build momentum for UPITS 2025, scheduled from September 25–29, 2025, at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.
Shri Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Also present were Shri Raj Kamal Yadav, IAS, Additional Commissioner, Industries, Government of UP; Shri Suresh Kumar Singhal, President, FTCCI; Mr. R. Ravi Kumar, Senior Vice President, FTCCI; and Shri Sudeep Sarcar, CEO, India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML).
Shri Rakesh Sachan described Uttar Pradesh as “India’s growth engine,” driven by development, entrepreneurship, and global outreach. “UPITS is not just a trade show, it is a global stage to highlight the strength of our MSMEs, artisans, and industries—from handlooms and ODOP products to EVs and renewable energy,” he noted.
Shri Raj Kamal Yadav called UPITS “India’s first state-level international trade fair” and highlighted its impact: “Last year alone, UPITS facilitated over ₹500–600 crore worth of business for local artisans. A local craftsman even received an order from Tanishq. UPITS is opening global doors for small producers.”
Shri Suresh Kumar Singhal, FTCCI President, lauded UP’s initiative to bring its entire ecosystem under one platform and emphasized pan-India collaboration to boost domestic commerce and exports.
Shri Sudeep Sarcar, CEO, IEML, shared that: UP is India’s 3rd largest economy with a GSDP of ₹21.74 trillion, contributing 8% to India’s GDP.
UPITS 2025 is expected to attract ₹2000 crore worth of business, 2400+ exhibitors, 1.25 lakh B2B and 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, 35,000 B2B meetings and 550+ international buyers from over 70 countries
He added, “UP and Telangana are industrial powerhouses. Together, they can create wonders in sectors like IT, handicrafts, textiles, and pharma.”
The Roadshow also showcased UPITS 2025’s expanded features—dedicated B2B zones, buyer-seller meetings, ODOP displays, and export clusters—offering a comprehensive view of Uttar Pradesh’s industrial and artisanal landscape.

The State with 75 districts has successfully adopted ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme, where artisans have a platform to showcase their skills . He has invited industry leaders from Karnataka to invest and collaborate with Uttar Pradesh. The UP government is providing Single Window scheme for setting up industry, the state has vast tracts of land bank that can be utilised to establish industries.
Uttar Pradesh’s economy has grown manifold, and with about ₹ 40 lac crores investment in pipeline, we have approved or sanctioned projects worth about ₹ 25 lac crores.
The State has 12 airports, best Expressways in the country coupled with better law and order in place now.
Uttar Pradesh boasts of having 96 lacs MSMEs that accounts to roughly 14% of MSMEs in the country.
It aims to reach to 1 trillion dollar economy by 2029.
Karnataka being in forefront in areas like IT, BioTech, Aerospace he invited the industry leaders to collaborate with Uttar Pradesh to envision the idea of ‘Ek Bharat, Shresht Bharat’.

Mumbai, July 25, 2025 – In a strategic move to bolster trade connectivity and promote investment in Uttar Pradesh’s dynamic MSME and export ecosystem, the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) moves to Maharashtra for the fourth leg of its promotion. The roadshow for the 3rd edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) was held in Mumbai, the financial capital of India, at Walchand Hirachand Hall, IMC Building, Churchgate.
The Mumbai edition of the roadshow was presided over by Shri Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who served as Chief Guest.
