Greater Noida, 29 September 2024 – The 2nd Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2024, which commenced on 25th September, concluded today with the last day witnessing an impressive turnout of visitors. The total registration including everyday footfall and repeat footfall recorded over 5 lakh. The event buzzed with energy and excitement, as attendees filled the exhibition halls, exploring innovative products and services showcased by a diverse array of exhibitors. The bustling atmosphere underscored the event’s significance as a key platform for trade and collaboration in Uttar Pradesh.
Arun Kumar Saxena, Forest Minister, Uttar Pradesh: also paid a visit at the beginning of Day 5 and expressed happiness over the remarkable attendance of people saying, UP International Trade Show represents a significant initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government, and I am delighted to witness the impressive turnout at this event. Visitors have come not only from our state but from across the country and around the globe, underscoring the broad interest in what Uttar Pradesh has to offer. This event is poised to create substantial employment opportunities for our people.
The concluding day featured a grand awards ceremony, presided over by Shri Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh who presented awards to the best exhibitors of each hall and exceptional participants across various competitions. In his remarks, Shri Sachan congratulated all the winners and emphasized the importance of fostering talent and innovation. He assured exhibitors of the government’s unwavering support, stating, “We are committed to providing all possible assistance to help you grow and succeed in your ventures. Together, we can make Uttar Pradesh a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.”
The event was also graced by the presence of Shri K Vijayendra Pandian, IAS, Commissioner and Director, Industries, UP Government, who welcomed everyone and highlighted the significance of collaboration between the government and the business community. “Your participation is vital for the growth of our economy, and we are here to support you every step of the way,” he said, encouraging exhibitors to explore new opportunities for growth and innovation.
At the UP International Trade Show, awards were presented to the best stalls in each hall, highlighting significant business achievements including Amazon Craft (Sambhal), Mughal Overseas (Moradabad), Arogya (Gautam Buddha Nagar) and many more. These awards showcase the immense business potential in Uttar Pradesh.
Throughout the event, talented students showcased their skills in various competitions. In the Drawing Competition, Jesus & Mary Convent School stood out in both Team A and Team B, taking home first and second prizes. In the Dance Competition, Vishwa Bharti Public School, Greater Noida, claimed the top spot, followed by Grads International School and a tie between Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Kaundu, Bulandshahr, and Noida Educational Academy, Noida. The Quiz Competition also saw impressive performances, with Team Champions from Saint-Hood Convent School taking first prize.
The Project Competition further showcased the innovative spirit of participants, particularly in the senior category. In Agriculture & Rural Development, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management secured first place with their project on cloud-enabled weather forecasting. Similarly, projects addressing Cyber Security & Women’s Safety from GL Bajaj Institute also garnered recognition, along with remarkable entries focusing on Environment & Sustainability from Galgotias University. The junior category award went to Team Rameesh Institute of Engineering and Technology for their visionary project on Women’s Safety.
Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart extended his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone involved for making UPITS 2024 a resounding success. “Your enthusiasm and dedication have transformed this event into a platform for innovation and collaboration, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the future,” he remarked.
The cultural evening featured a mesmerizing performance by Palash Sen and the Euphoria band, leaving attendees thrilled and entertained. The atmosphere was electric, with participants and visitors alike celebrating the culmination of a successful event.
