Cultural Heritage of Uttar Pradesh with Khadi on Ramp

The upcoming flagship trade event of the Uttar Pradesh Government, Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2024 which is being jointly organised by India Expo Centre & Mart scheduled to be held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida is coming up with extravaganza of surprises along with shopping and sourcing.

The grand showcase of Uttar Pradesh’s business potential will also highlight its rich cultural heritage with mesmerizing events at the show set to captivate the audience including a Fashion Show & the Laser Show. These events are designed to celebrate the state’s rich historical heritage and progressive future. They are not merely forms of entertainment but vivid displays of Uttar Pradesh’s cultural legacy and development story.

The Fashion Show which is themed as “Khadi Kal Se Aaj Tak – Rich Heritage of Uttar Pradesh” will be a huge attraction at UPITS 2024 which is set to take place on 27th September and is accessible for businessmen and trade invitees only by invitation card only. This elegant event will take place in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Union Textiles Minister, Shri Giriraj Singh as Chief Guest. It will showcase the timeless beauty of Khadi, a fabric deeply intertwined with India’s freedom movement, Uttar Pradesh’s textile legacy and the rich apparel industry. The show will feature 8-10 fashion sequences, with models displaying Khadi’s journey from its traditional origins to its modern-day interpretations. From intricate handwoven designs to sleek, contemporary garments, the fashion show will present Khadi as a symbol of both cultural pride and modern sustainability. Each sequence will showcase the versatility of Khadi, blending heritage with the latest fashion trends, making it a unique tribute to Uttar Pradesh’s rich textile tradition.
